Any seasoned performer knows they’re going to get a stain on their dance costume or uniform. To help you prepare for the inevitable, we put together this video on getting stains out of your dancewear:

Method 1: The Magic Wand

The Magic Wand is our secret stain-fighting weapon. It removes nearly any stain, including red wine, dirt, and even blood (hey, it happens).

To use the Magic Wand, all you do is open up the stick, rub it on the stain, and then (after letting your costume sit for a bit) wash the affected area. After that, the stain should be gone!

Method 2: Clorox Bleach Pen

The Clorox Bleach Pen is perfect for removing stains from white costumes – but don’t use it on colored costumes or fabrics! It’ll knock the stain right out of any costume, but also knock the color out of any non-white areas.

After you’ve used the pen to get rid of a stain, be sure to rinse your costume (or at least the affected area) thoroughly with cold water. You want to make sure you don’t leave any bleach in your costume after you’ve finished, to prevent it from transferring to other areas or clothing.

Method 3: Good Ol’ Dish soap

Dish soap is great for removing dirt, stains, and oils from your costume. Mixing soap and water and dabbing at simple stains will do the trick 90 percent of the time – as we’ve already shown you via our “washing unwashable costumes” video.
